Woodshop News introduces Woodworkers Showcase, a new website for artisans, furniture, cabinet and architectural millwork shops to market their work to an established audience of high-end buyers.
“This is an exciting new venture to help our readers, owners and craftsmen at woodworking shops across the country, sell their work to qualified buyers,†says Tod Riggio, editor of Woodshop News. “We’ve been helping them shape their successful shops for over 30 years. Now, with Woodworkers Showcase, we’re providing a sales platform to increase their profits.â€
Woodworkers Showcase’s primary audience is readers of other Active Interest Media (publisher of Woodshop News) titles, such as Craft Homes, Old House Journal, Log Home Living, Period Homes, Power & Motoryacht, Yachts International, Soundings, PassageMaker, Sail, and Angler’s Journal.
“The unique value that Active Interest Media brings to this project is a well-defined audience of high household income readers (average $193,744) that numbers in the millions each month. Our magazine audience of over 2 million readers monthly with additional web site activity of over 2.5 million monthly web page views is something no one else can offer,†says Rory Beglin, publisher of Woodshop News.
For a yearly fee of $499, woodworkers get 24/7 access to upload content and initiate sales with boating and home enthusiasts. AIM will promote and host the site but will not profit or participate in any sales. All communication will be direct between the client and seller.
“The main idea is to connect makers with a higher-end clientele that appreciate custom craftsmanship as demonstrated by their unique interest in custom homes and high-end boats. The site will have extensive search features pertaining to geography, styles, products and more. But most importantly, it will be targeted to people that we already know fit the lifestyle of the makers’ potential customers,†adds Riggio.
Woodworkers Showcase will have its official launch at IWF 2018 in Atlanta.
